Now we all love and miss “Dimebag” Darrell Lance Abbott (1966-2004), so I made a poll in his rememberance. For those SwaggerToothers who are not aware, he is best know for his groundbreaking guitar work in the seminal metal band Pantera. Noted heroin jerk-face Philip Anselmo was instrumental in the break-up the greatest metal band of the Nineties. Dime later went on to form Damageplan with his brother Vinnie. Now, I have only heard snippets of the one and only release by Damageplan, but I follow this rule: If it has Dimebag on it, it is good. Sadly, Dime was murdered on stage on December 8, 2004 by some nutjob. I remember exactly where I was when I heard the tragic news, and I sat at home all day and watched the coverage on TV. And I mourned. It was like my generation’s John Lennon (for me anyway).
