Obviously, like all true patriotic SwaggerToothers, I am very concerned about the safety of our great nation (the USA). But this from Slate magazine got my attention mostly because of the cocaine. Hmmm.

By the way, the new Dave Matthews Band record, Big Whiskey And The GrooGrux King, is really, really good. I agree with Chicken when he says it’s the best since 1998 (Before These Crowded Streets). It’s a great tribute to the late LeRoi Moore (1961-2008). Give it a listen.

By the way, where is David?

  2. A couple of things to comment on here my bobble headed friend….

    1. 1.) I thought your title read “I’m not good at titties” at first, haha — so not a bad title after all buddy
    2. 2.) I went to your Slate magazine link and immediately started reading the article at the top titled Wide Body Aircraft, yup… we’re talking about fatty-boom-batty air travel here! While we are on this subject (albeit accidentally) though, did you know there was actually a National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance?!? I don’t mean to hate on Fat people here but seriously — shouldn’t that association be more concerned about, I don’t know, maybe NOT being fat? After all it is a health risk not to mention *embarrassingly disgusting to require two seats on an airplane unless you’re a sumo wrestler flying from Japan
    3. 3.) Anyway, after reading that article and being confused I kept on reading in search of the cocaine story. You must be referring to The Threat From Below. Interesting article. I just hope those “submersibles” keep on focusing on drug running rather than suicide bombing coastal targets — leave Florida out of this please.
    4. 4.) I noticed there’s lots of abortion talk on there too.. I am always mind boggled at how much random random strangers care about other peoples business. I personally do not care if someone chooses to get an abortion, but I guess that just makes me pro-choice. It’s your call.
    5. 5.) More ‘cane talk at the bottom too, Collective Drug Surveillance — These tests seek out evidence of illicit drug abuse in drug residues and metabolites excreted in urine and flushed toward municipal sewage treatment plants…. wow, they must really want these results badly if they’re willing to analyze Poo Rivers

    Good stuff Thrice B!

PS. Where is David? I thought I saw a draft of his on the horizon but it appears to be on hold now…

  3. On a side note of hilariousness (semi-related to the NAAFA people above in #2)

Check out the front page of the Onion today:

Obama visits Denny’s and talks about abandoning complex policies on emissions, clean coal and refocusing on achievable goals like applying deodorant daily, learning what to say when you burp, etc.

    Other highlights:

“Not calling your waitress a cunt”

“Think about walking down to the liquor store instead of driving”

(in response to the long term goals for the Obama presidency)
“Well, It’s certainly not to make America a world leader in anything anymore, we hope to inspire all Americans to band together to make our nation a little bit less of an *embarrassing disgusting shit hole.”

  4. Yeah, the problem with posting about those Slate blog entries is ma boi Slick Willy Saletan posts regularly and the shit I was talking about is pushed lower. But I think there are individual pages with each blog post on them. I’ll have to put one of those links up next time.
