I came across this great Explainer column regarding the Henry Louis Gates Jr. incident. As the most, ahem, “legally” experienced member of the BrainTrust, and, probably, the whole of SwaggerTooth Nation (you all seem like such nice people), I found this subject very near and dear to my heart. The first question raised by the column, “Do police officers have to identify themselves?”, was never really an issue for me, because all the Fuzz I dealt with were clearly uniformed. Oh well. Read this article SwaggerTooth Citizens, and learn from it.Milhouse Policia

This article about cha boi, Bron Bron, is quite telling. Shake a man’s hand, get dunked on, who cares.

Here’s a rather disconcerting article from ma boi, Farhad Manjoo (I like his name). The key phrase in the article is “perfectly enforceable” prohibitions. These don’t sound cool to me.

Oh yeah, and one more thing, regarding the po-po part of this post: If ya gots something in ya pocket that ya ain’t supposed to have, and the men in blue come up to you, LEAVE IT IN YOUR POCKET. That is all.

  2. I must disagree with your assesment of the swagland’s legal experience. I might have ya beat on that one.
