No homo article on Slate magazine. Very interesting stuff.
I thought I saw Shaq’s new show tonight at the 4th Quarter with the sound off. I wish I could have heard his brilliant musings. Shaq is awesome. Here’s a write-up on it. I love Shaq (no homo).
And here is a really good piece on the best-selling jazz album of all time, Miles Davis‘ Kind of Blue. For those unfamiliar with jazz, this is a ridiculously good album. Senior editor of Allmusic Stephen Thomas Erlewine said, “It may be a stretch to say that if you don’t like Kind of Blue, you don’t like jazz — but it’s hard to imagine it as anything other than a cornerstone of any jazz collection.” August 17, 2009 marked the 50th anniversary of its release. I should have been on top of things and posted this two days ago. Oh well.
I came across this awesome tune below while YouTubing songs out of a Motown songbook I purchased. I love it (no homo). I’ve actually been listening to it repeatedly while I wrote this post. Hope all you out in SwaggerTooth Nation enjoy it.

She’s a brick—-house
Mighty mighty, just lettin’ it all hang out
Awesome “No Homo” article there, good find Bobby (no homo)
I am a bit uniformed on the Jazz genre, I have Miles Davis’ Bitches Brew but not Kind of Blue like you mentioned so I will have to check that out. John Coltrane participated in some of that right? I think I have an album of his too..
On a final note though, I love Motown. What songbook did you buy?

Yeah, Trane was on that record. He’s nasty. I bought Motown 50th Anniversary Songbook. It’s got 100 songs, including Lionel Richie (with and without the Commodores), Michael Jackson (with and without the Jackson 5), the Temptations, the Supremes, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson (with and without the Miracles), and, possibly my personal favorite, Stevie Wonder. It’s tight.

That sounds like a pretty sweet collection. I have some Motown collections already but I might have to look out for that on dem internets.
PS. I saw Shaq vs. Big Ben on ESPN’s top 10 plays at lunch… that show does look pretty awesome!
