Here in the great state of Florida we are preparing for the annual grudge match between Florida State University and the University of Miami (FL) (sorry Wally, besides big Ben, who’s talking about Redhawks football).  Fans on both sides of the ball have been waiting for a return to glory, and are hoping that a win at Doak Campbell Stadium on Labor Day can propel their squad Back to the Future.

As one might expect, Tallahassee is to be abuzz and crawling with those folks from down south that will be coming to support their team.  This goes for those Hurricanes fans as well as those FSU fans and alums that currently reside in the southern, and more populous, portion of the state.  The latter group of people will include, among others, our good friend Luke and Braintrust member himself, Sean “Dots McGots” Sordo.  As this triggers another swaggerish reunion, we will be partaking in activities like a trip to the coast on Sunday along with some man sodas and tailgating for the game on Monday.

On the other side of the spectrum, defending National Champions, The University of Florida Gators, will try to cover a 60+ point spread this Saturday as they host the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern University.   5 year theory?

If you are not inclined to do your swerving at high speeds while risking your life and that of others, you can take a tip from Land Lord and do your lane switching out on the dance floor.

In related news,  Samoa is planning on being the first nation since Ghana in 1974 to have their drivers switch from driving on one side of the road to the other.  This has caused a rash of road rage throughout the country which only means one thing, stay clear of Samoa until the dust settles.  Do you want this guy coming at you with the golf club he keeps in his backseat?

Ms. Daniels is hardly the first entertainer to use his/her fame as a platform to promote her own message. She is in fact not the even the first entertainer to be linked with a Senate seat this year.  When Al Franken won his bid for the Senate seat previously held by Norm Coleman in the land of 10,000 lakes, he joined a fraternity of entertainers turned politicians that includes the late Sonny Bono, the Gipper, der Gubernator, and a fellow officeholder from Minnesota in Jesse ‘the Body’ Ventura . In Ms. Daniels’ case,  we are clearly faced with a much more interesting situation; however, with so many politicians falling victim to sex scandals, what’s to stop a porn-star from filling out the Senate floor.
