Wow, it is already November. Where does the time go? (In a tiny plastic jar, I think.) Who’s ready for February? Yeah!

Will Nirvana’s fans buy their new material? I don’t know.

Will these things be legal by February, 2010? Probably not, but soon. (Well maybe the Cuba thing.)

How does he do that? The same way D-Go dunks. (In his imagination.)

And here is a great performance of a greater song by John Hiatt. I re-heard the song after buying the 3 seasons of Arrested Development on DVD.

AD uses the song in a hilarious scene in which Gob realizes he’s “made a huge mistake” about working things out with his super-hot Spanish TV star girlfriend, Marta. I couldn’t find the scene, though, so here’s one introducing him in the show. And here’s another good one.

How ’bout them Lakers, huh? Fish to the rescue. And did anyone catch that Continental hatred between my boi Pau Gasol and Mickaël Piétrus? Damn, I felt it was Dos de Mayo, 1808 all over again!

Anyhoo, we haven’t yet done an official poll yet about this subject here on SwaggerTooth, but my intuit tells me the results might be overwhelmingly positive. Being a crazy, drug-addicted libertarian, obviously I advocate the legalization of all drugs (except crystal meth, that stuff’ll mess you up, re: you know who).

But seriously, we’ve all seen that History Channel show about how marijuana was criminalized because of racism against Mexicans and how William Randolph Hearst was in on it because he didn’t want hemp to cut in to his lumber profits. (I have no sources for this. Just believe me because I said it, or you can look it up.)

It’s about time we stopped locking up non-violent marijuana users (i.e., one-half of the BrainTrust). Well, to be honest, neither of those two were exactly “locked up” for marijuana. For marijuana. Oh yeah, here’s the link to the Slate article that got me thinking about this. 13 billion dollars is a lot of money. Write your Congressman!

Bad Month

Well it wasn’t a very productive month here at SwaggerTooth.com, but hopefully it’s a one-time thing and not a trend. Here’s a sign of the impending apocalype. They gotta take the fun out of everything, don’t they?

Here’s a sign of the not-impending apocalypse. If you believe the 2012 Mayan end-of-days prophecy, read up, then quit your job and live it up for the next two and a half years. (Can we get a counter for this too? I’d like to know how long I have to booze it up after I can booze it up again.)

SCOTUS News: The answer to the question “is Sonia Hispanic or Latina?” is a resounding neither! -OR does not equal -EZ!

On another note, the Father Alberto Cutié (pronounced koo-tee-AY) announced his decision to join the Episcopal Chuch (also known at Catholic-light, same basic idea but easier to swallow, like Bud Light). This deeply disturbs me as a devout Roman Catholic. I find it hard to rant loudly while typing, but this is one of the most hypocritical things I have ever heard. (However, this does not let you off the hook, Henry VIII.) Father, I must say that ten kids is an awful lot for someone who took a celibacy oath. Check your integrity. Full story here.

(Apologies to any Episcopalians out there in SwaggerTooth-land who were offended. My comments were all in good fun, but seriously, this story kind of makes me sick.)
